More stages, new formats: These are the highlights of the Smart Country Convention 2024
• Smart Country Convention 2024 presents itself on a total of five stages

The Smart Country Convention continues its growth. From 15 - 17 October, more than 15,000 experts from the fields of politics, business, administration and research are expected to attend the leading event on the digitalization of the public sector. This year's edition features an expanded stage programme and innovative networking formats.
Five stages for new topics and programme formats
The Smart Country Convention (SCCON) is expanding its programme to include an additional conference stage, the Focus Stage. It will primarily feature speakers who will share their best practices on the topics of smart cities, e-government and digital justice. With a visit from the Bundestag's Digital Committee on 16 October and a tour by the digital ministers of the federal states, SCCON will also present itself with a range of high-profile political formats.
In addition to the stage programme, this year there will be an expanded selection of new workshops and training opportunities as well as a live podcast area at the Berlin exhibition grounds for the first time. More than 10 leading industry podcasts have already confirmed their participation. Visitors will be able to listen to the recordings of Tagesspiegel "Checkpoint", "re|Staat digital - Der ÖFIT-Podcast" or the "Unbürokratisch" podcast directly on site via headphones.
From municipal networking to international match-making
With the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the network meeting of mayors, the Smart Country Convention 2024 is establishing two new networking formats as part of the event. As an EU partner exchange for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the EEN offers new opportunities to make targeted international contacts in European countries. The network meeting of mayors will take place on 16 October from 10 a.m. to facilitate a targeted exchange between municipalities and cities. As in previous years, the SCCON Career Day on 17 October will provide new networking opportunities in the field of careers with a wide range of presenting companies and programme formats.
For in-depth networking, this year's Smart Country Convention also offers the opportunity to use separate meeting cubes and meeting tables in the Networking Area for personal dialogue. These can be booked in advance of the event via the SCCON website.
