Startup Award 2026
October 14, 2026 | Plaza Stage
The application phase for the Smart Country Startup Award 2026 has ended. Now it’s time for the next stage: The selected finalists will present their ideas live on the Plaza Stage on October 14.
The Smart Country Startup Award recognizes startups that are driving the digital transformation of the public sector, from digital administration and smart infrastructure to public procurement and digital identity. The key requirement is that their solutions are already being used or have the potential to be used by cities and municipalities.
The selected finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their projects to a large audience and an expert jury. The winning startup will receive a stage slot at next year’s Smart Country Convention as well as a one-year Get Started membership with Bitkom.
The finalists will be announced soon.
Want to take part next time? Applications for the next Smart Country Startup Award are planned to open for #SCCON27. More information will be available on this page in due course.
