Expo highlight Google Cloud: Insights into the architecture of AI

All AI is programmed to process information and perform tasks. Although the tasks vary greatly, often only a single, general AI system is used.

Even though large AI models are becoming increasingly adept at solving complex problems, multi-agent systems (MAS) are playing an increasingly important role. Imagine that instead of a single AI, a team of specialised AIs were working on a task. Each AI agent has its own abilities and goals and works as part of a team to solve a problem together. That is the basic idea behind a multi-agent system.

The advantages of MAS are manifold:

  • Complexity management: Large problems are broken down into smaller sub-problems that are handled by specialised agents.
  • Robustness: If one agent fails, others can take over its tasks, making the system more resilient.
  • Flexibility: New agents can be added or adapted without rebuilding the entire system.
  • Emergent behaviour: The interaction of simple agents can result in unexpectedly intelligent and efficient solutions.

The development of multi-agent systems is pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve. Collective intelligence promises a new era of efficiency and problem solving and will continue to transform the world around us.

Google Agentspace is a comprehensive enterprise platform for increasing productivity through AI agents. As a SaaS solution with many pre-built connectors, it is quick to deploy and flexibly expandable.

Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) is a toolkit that was used to build Agentspace and helps developers create and deploy AI agents (open source).

Come visit the Google Cloud booth at this year's SCCON and try out Agentspace. Experience how multi-agent systems can transform your business processes.
