Expo-Highlight Berlin Partner: Together Digital to becoming a Smart City

As the host city, Berlin will present itself at SCCON 2023 with a joint booth in Hub27 (Booth 406) - a showcase of smart city projects ranging from administrative digitization to data management and security. On the second day of the event, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, will give a keynote speech on the Plaza Stage in Hub27.

The Berlin SCCON highlights:

8 November 2023, 2:00 p.m.: Opening of the OSK.

The official launch of the Open Source Competence Center (OSK) will take place at the Smart City Berlin booth. The goals, added values, and offers of the state's central advisory office for the use of open-source software will be presented. The Governing Mayor and Berlin CDO Martina Klement are present at the opening.

8 November 2023: all day eLHF - Public safety at your fingertips (outdoor area).

The Berlin Fire Department will present its innovative electric firefighting and rescue vehicle "eLHF".

9 November 2023, from 1:00 p.m.: Measures of the Smart City Strategy "Together Digital: Berlin".

"Gemeinsam Digital: Berlin" (GD:B) is Berlin's smart city strategy. Here, some of the five pilot projects and measures present themselves.

7-9 November 2023: Smart Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg.

Berlin and Brandenburg are the Smart Capital Region. With Berlin, Potsdam, Bad Belzig/Wiesenburg, Cottbus, and Guben, a total of five Smart City model projects are located in the region. They will present their strategies and plans at the start of each day of the trade fair.

8 November 2023, 5:15 p.m.: Guided tours of the trade fair.

On the trade fair tour, trade visitors will learn more about digital processes and smart technologies for the cities of the future and gain insight into the complex topic of the smart city.
