Digital solutions for government and public administration: Smart Country Convention launches Call for Speakers 2026
• Wanted: International best practices and use cases for the public sector
• Free event tickets are now available
• SCCON 2026 is taking place from 13–15 October
The Smart Country Convention (SCCON) will take place from 13 to 15 October 2026 at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre. With the Call for Speakers 2026, public sector experts are now invited to apply for their participation in the stage programme of the leading event for the digitalisation of the public sector. Additionally, the event's official ticket shop is now open.
"In 2026, we are excited to once again fill our stages with inspiring ideas and projects from across the world. The Call for Speakers is aimed at experts from cities, public authorities, academia and think tanks," says Anja Olsok, Managing Director of Bitkom Servicegesellschaft mbH.
Digital pioneers in the public sector wanted
The Call for Speakers 2026 is now open. This year, the Smart Country Convention is looking for projects and use cases focusing on the following key topics to enrich the event’s stage programme in 15-minute sessions:
• Digital administration
• AI & cloud technologies
• Government resilience, digital sovereignty & cybersecurity
• Smart cities & smart regions
• Mobility
• Energy & Sustainability
• Digital Education & Skills Development
Proposals in German or English must be submitted by 8 May 2026. Find further information on the SCCON website and in the Call for Speakers Guidelines 2026.
Free event tickets now available
Additionally, participants are now able to secure their free event tickets and join more than 23.000 public sector experts in shaping the future of public administration and smart cities.
