The Smart Country Convention has gained another powerful partner. The Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community will take over its sponsorship. Federal Minister Horst Seehofer states: “Efficient government authorities and public agencies equipped with up-to-date tools and procedures are a key element for ensuring equivalent living conditions throughout Germany. Digitization makes it possible for the administration to break new ground for providing the best possible services and support for citizens and businesses also in the future. The Smart Country Convention provides the platform for discussing what this digital future may look like. Therefore I am delighted to become patron of this event.”

In the course of the three-day event, digital solutions for the public sector will be presented in the CityCube Berlin. The Smart Country Convention is aimed at technology providers, representatives of administrative and public authorities at the federal, state, metropolitan and community levels, municipal and other public enterprises, and support organisations for education and healthcare institutions.
